Operation Relo provides comprehensive downsizing services for families with elders. These services include selling/ distributing/ disposing of several generations of possessions, preparing the old family home for sale, moving, home repair, and providing social/emotional support.
We do conduct physical sales of used items, but since COVID the majority of our sales have come using online services – FB Marketplace, Ebay, and the growing number of reselling platforms.
We need some independent, resourceful, honest people to help us sell the avalanche of used household possession coming out of the Baby Boomer homes.

Given the scope of our services, we have broad needs, but our current bottleneck is managing the online selling process. We need people to enter the home, assess the values of thousands of items, post them for sale online, negotiate with buyers and close the transaction.
Job Qualifications. You will be successful and happy in this role if you have the following qualifications.
• Technology skills – comfort with online selling platforms and cellphones. We post on many sites with pix and descriptions. The volume we need to move is huge, and the timeframe is usually short.
• An eye for photography using your phone. A well photographed item sells much faster than a poorly photographed item.
• Appreciation for older items. You must be able to research them and merchandise them attractively.
• Unquestionable integrity. We are going into people’s homes and handling cash.
• Patience/compassion. We are working directly with families who are often under great stress. We frequently deal with people who may be behaving irrationally.
• Great attitude. You can do “whatever it takes,” our motto. You like working with people and selling to them. You have empathy, but you’re not a pushover. Many of the so-called treasures out there have little market value, and we encounter our share of hucksters.

You also need a cell phone, computer, and valid driver's license. A key part of the job is driving between worksites.
