David and Evelyn Harris’s RV-12iS flew for this first time. David's daughter Evelyn, a senior Aeronautical Science major at Embry-Riddle in Prescott, came out to be the test pilot. She emerged with the RV Grin.

This project started in their garage during COVID and involved over 100 students from Harvey Mudd College over the past six years. Many said that building an airplane was one of the most memorable parts of their college experience.
