Day 68 - An Elevator

"This elevator is rumored to be one of the oldest elevators in Aurora. That means it is a manual process. No electric doors or buttons to push to get it moving. This elevator runs on a pulley system (like a dumb-waiter) that we have to manually pull. The doors don't automatically shut. People are not allowed to ride on it. If you are upstairs and need to send material downstairs, sometimes the elevator is still downstairs so you have to go down, pull the ropes, shut the doors to send it up, go back upstairs, open the doors, and now you are ready to load the material.
