A couple months ago Wilson Extreme Sports was contacted by a production company looking for a patriotic-themed monster truck for a commercial shoot tied to a major upcoming sporting event.
The first choice was The Veteran, but with the truck committed to a Hot Wheels® event in Mexico, we worked with our friends Justin and Nancy Elliott to provide Controlled Khoas as an alternative. After coordinating the logistics, agreements, and production requirements, the project moved forward.
At the time, we had no idea just how big the opportunity really was.
Once filming was underway, we learned the commercial was being produced for Justin Gaethje and his upcoming UFC Lightweight Championship fight at the historic White House event.
Spending the day with Justin was a fantastic experience. He was genuine, humble, professional, and an absolute pleasure to work with. The production team was first class, and it was exciting to see how everything came together behind the scenes.
Fast forward to last night, and Justin delivered an incredible performance to capture the UFC Lightweight Championship on one of the biggest stages in combat sports. 🇺🇸🏆
It's not every day that a monster truck operation gets the call to support a major national advertising campaign, and we're proud that Wilson Extreme Sports was trusted to help make it happen.
