Reflections at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park 🇬🇭
We recently had the honor of visiting the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, a place that truly breathes the spirit of Ghana’s independence and Pan-Africanism.
Our group spent the afternoon touring the museum, where we delved deep into the legacy of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. Seeing his personal artifacts and learning about his vision for a united Africa was both educational and deeply moving for everyone.
The highlight for many of us was standing before one of the monuments—a striking tribute to the man who led Ghana to freedom. There is a profound sense of history in this space that stays with you long after you leave.
We captured a beautiful moment where the group gathered to reflect on one of Nkrumah’s most famous sentiments:
"I am not African because I was born in Africa, but because Africa was born in me."
This quote perfectly captures the heart of our journey. Whether we are from the continent or the diaspora, that connection to the land and its history is something we carry within us every day.
Take a look at the video below to see some of the highlights and photos of us standing at this historic site!
