Last Thursday, teams from across HOST Agency participated in the inaugural Javelin Giving Global 5K, a virtual event organized by our client, Javelin Global Commodities, to raise funds for charitable organizations around the world.

The event brought together participants across Javelin's global network to run, walk, or jog a 5K in support of four charities: The Passage, The Childhood Trust, Project Dignity, and NAB Karnataka.

We're proud to have participated in this global initiative and supported great causes alongside our industry partners. Thank you to Javelin Global Commodities!

We recently welcomed students from the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) to Avondale Global Gateway for a firsthand look at the people, careers and opportunities that keep our operations moving.

Students heard from our Vice President and General Manager Amanda England, Human Resources Director Nubia Gutierrez, and HSE Director Jarred Adams, who shared insights into their career paths, leadership experiences, and the many roles that come together across our industry.

YEP works throughout the Greater New Orleans community to equip young people with the education, mentoring and employment-readiness skills they need to build their futures. We’re proud to support that mission by opening our doors, sharing our experiences, and introducing the next generation to opportunities within maritime, logistics, and beyond.

Thank you to YEP and all the students who spent the day with us!

The HOST Agency Baltimore team reeled in a great day on the water at the Propeller Club of Baltimore Fishing Tournament!

HOST was proud to sponsor a boat and bring together customers, vendors, and friends for a beautiful day in Stevensville, Maryland. With great company, perfect weather, and a full limit of fish, we couldn’t have asked for a better day on the Chesapeake Bay.

Thank you to the Propeller Club of Baltimore for another great event!

Monday marked an important milestone for Avondale Global Gateway and a new chapter in trade on the Mississippi River.

We were proud to welcome U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, Representative Julia Letlow, and leaders from Heeney Capital and Mercuria to Avondale as we recognized the arrival of 15,000 metric tons of Venezuelan aluminum and the beginning of a new trade route through Avondale.

We’re grateful for the support of our federal and local leaders and partners who helped make this opportunity possible. Most importantly, we’re proud of the HOST and Avondale Global Gateway teams behind it all—from preparing for the vessel’s arrival and safely handling the cargo to welcoming our guests and showcasing Avondale at its best.

This is what Avondale was built to do: connect global trade with American industry and create lasting opportunity.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day a success.

There’s no shortage of activity - and color - across Avondale Global Gateway’s 275 acres.

Avondale Global Gateway is in growth mode.

Our recent acquisition of seven acres near Avondale Global Gateway reflects our confidence in the long-term opportunity ahead. While there are no immediate plans for the property, its proximity to the campus gives us greater flexibility as Avondale continues to grow and attract new investment.

The acquisition comes amid significant momentum across the campus, with new customers establishing operations, infrastructure expansion underway, and more than 2 million tons of materials expected to move through Avondale this year.

It’s another step in making sure Avondale has the room and infrastructure to support what comes next.

A logistics hub in Avondale recently purchased church property from the Archdiocese of New Orleans, a part of its larger downsizing efforts in recent years.
