#1 Positions 1099: Local Pick-up and Delivery Class A with Hazmat endorsements.
#2 Positions 1099: Local Pick-up and Delivery non-CDL in box truck.
Independent contractor with local logistics company is looking for a full time class A CDL driver with Hazmat endorsements and also non-CDL driver for a box truck.
This is 1099 position, drivers are paid 40% per stop (avg $180-225 per day). This is a steady work despite the current economy issues.
Ideal candidates will have experience in LTL freight delivery and Pick-up. Trailers and box trucks are all equipped with lift gates and drivers regularly must maneuver freight utilizing electric pallet jacks. Excellent customer service skills are a must. City drivers will conduct pick-ups and deliveries throughout the Phoenix area. This is a day shift position with shifts starting at 6AM till 4PM or when work is done.
Requirements:
One to two (1-2) years of previous delivery experience (LTL, Fed-ex, Ups, or Food delivery etc.)
Hazmat endorsements
23 years of age or older
Experience with Lift Gates
Must demonstrate experience in loading, unloading, securing loads
Experience using manual and electric Pallet Jacks
Knowledge of the valley streets and addresses
Current DOT Medical Examiners Card
Android or IPhone smartphone
Good communication skills
Reliable, dependable, friendly
Able to lift 50 to 70 pounds
Neat appearance
Must be Customer Service oriented.
Pass Federal, State and County background checks. If you have a record of a felony conviction, you may not be eligible.
Must pass a drug test (required for hire, and random testing ongoing)
Clean Driving Record - No moving violation within the last 5 years or DUI
