Role Description
This position takes responsibility for design engineering tasks for retail store fixtures, including adherence to client, product, industry, and process standards, as well as the development of technical drawings that meet our client’s scope while enabling profitable manufacturing and installation of the product. The incumbent ensures that designs are supported by accurate product data, shop drawings and supporting documentation to allow for on- time and complete fabrication and installation.

Duties include:
Develop retail store fixtures, addressing technical solutions through the generation of multiple concept solutions and drafting of working drawings.
Assist with creating models, mock-ups and design validation samples from sketches and architectural drawings.
Maintain production data, including drawings, cultists and NC programs.
Perform research on appearance, function, and material specifications.

Skills & Experience:
Preferred 3-year design engineering experience in metal and wood product manufacturing, experience with retail clients preferred. Experience in prototype creation, product tests and recommending alternative solutions is a plus.
Familiarity with SolidWorks, Inventor or similar platforms and AutoCad are required as well as knowledge of millwork, fixtures, furniture, cabinetry or related industries.
Hands-on building experience is a plus.
Degree in architecture, industrial or engineering design, or related fields preferred.

Experience:
SolidWorks: 2 years (Preferred)
AutoCad (Preferred)

Essential Responsibilities

Involvement and assisting in writing, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and maintaining software applications to ensure that everything is running smoothly.

Minimum Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role must possess superior coding skills, excellent communication, high concentration levels, good task management, superior problem solving and critical thinking skills.

2+ years of experience in a computer programming/coding/software engineer role
