Hey Baltimore, if you are a MTA Mobility Call-A-Ride Program Passenger and you hate getting on the bus or waiting for taxi drivers that never show up, you have another option starting November 2, 2026. It's called SilverRide.

SilverRide is an assisted transportation platform and licensed Transportation Network Company (TNC) built specifically for older adults and people with disabilities.

In the Baltimore area, SilverRide connects credentialed, background-checked drivers with seniors and individuals who need specialized, ADA-compliant help getting to medical appointments, dialysis, grocery stores, and social activities.

Key Services

• Door-to-Door & Door-Through-Door Help: Drivers assist riders to and from the vehicle, helping with walkers, canes, wheelchairs, and guide dogs.

• Medical & Social Trips: Rides are provided for clinical appointments as well as personal errands, salon visits, and family gatherings.

• Partner Network: SilverRide works alongside healthcare organizations, transit agencies, and PACE programs.

• Driver Pay & Requirements: Drivers use a 4-door sedan or low SUV (2014 or newer) and earn a guaranteed minimum of $26 per hour during their first month.

The Red Dot in the corner has 229 UZURV rides listed as being available in Baltimore. UZURV is a MTA Mobility Call-A-Ride Program contractor. There is no filter to allow drivers to locate rides in the zip code where they are. Scrolling through this number of rides will force the app to buffer and skip. Many rides that may be close to the drivers won't be seen. This does a disservice to the passengers because they wait longer because the app which could be updated to add a zip code filter but has not been.

UZURV passengers are always complain to me about drivers being on the phone. They especially hate that they're speaking a foreign language and can't understand them. I think it affects the passengers mental health because they feel insecure. They think the driver's talking badly about them.

For those employed in arduous solitary work such as cab driving, a marathon phone call is the perfect place to navigate the dislocations of immigrant life

Jonny Baltimore is always Jonny on the spot. We serve our community everyday and look for opportunities to be a blessing. Yes, we work with transportation programs and rideshare platforms. We also provide courier services. We receive, pick up, and deliver packages. Do wellness checks. We pick up, shop for and deliver groceries and pharmacy items. In addition, we advocate for and coaching drivers. We check on and scout out properties for real estate investors and property owners. An elderly lady was stranded outside of a closed dialysis facility waiting and waiting over 45 minutes. No one wanted to go out of their way and pick her up because of the far distance, low pay, and high risk. UZURV was paying $7 less today for her trip then the last time I picked her up. She was tired, hungry, and very frustrated with UZURV. I bid on the trip just to help. The last time I picked her up she wasn't feeling well and the staff had to wait about an hour past closing for me to come from downtown to get her.

Went to scout out a house that sold and then came back onto the market. Flippers sometimes ignore costly needed repairs. I might see if it's worth it to make an offer but it will definitely be accounting for needed repairs.
