We had a wonderful time celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month this past Saturday. Even with Sunday's rainout, our bilingual staff was thrilled to connect with 151 community members to share project updates and discuss the future of east-west transit. A huge thank you to Nuestras Raices Baltimore and Executive Director Angelo Solera for an incredible event and your continued partnership!

Safety is our top priority as we plan the future of transit in Baltimore. During , MDOT MTA has a crucial reminder for anyone navigating our current network. Headphones are a great way to transport yourself away from your surroundings, but using them near transit can be deadly. Please take your headphones off and pause the music until you are safely on board. Stay alert to stay safe, Baltimore!

That’s a wrap on our Baltimore Red Line Summer Community Pop-Ups!

We’ve spent the last few months traveling across Baltimore, meeting you in your neighborhoods, sharing project updates, and most importantly, listening to your feedback. Here is a look at what we accomplished together this summer:

Hosted 15+ pop-ups across many neighborhoods.

Connected with people in a variety of places and spaces, from farmers markets and community events to transit stops and Orioles games.

Encouraged the public to fill out the Red Line survey.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop, chat, and share your vision for the Red Line. Stay tuned for more opportunities to get involved this fall!

What an incredible day at Morning Star Baptist Church in Gwynn Oak! The Backpack Giveaway and Health Expo earlier this month brought students, families, and educators together for a fantastic kickoff to the school year, complete with free backpacks, educator totes, haircuts, and more.

We were thrilled the Baltimore Red Line team could be part of this community celebration. Our team was on-site to connect with neighbors, and we proudly donated about 100 crayon boxes, rulers and pens to help our local students and educators start the year off right. Thank you to everyone who stopped by!
