Big things are happening on the waterfront!

As we prepare for Sail250 Maryland and Airshow Baltimore, critical dredging operations are underway via Baltimore City DOT's strong partnership with the Maryland Port Administration, Maryland Department of the Environment, US Army Corps of Engineers, EA Engineering and McLean Contracting. A special shout out to D46 Delegate Luke Clippinger for his leadership.

This collaborative effort ensures our waters are deep, safe, and ready to welcome tall ships, navy ships, sea service vessels and visitors from around the world. By investing in infrastructure now, we’re strengthening maritime access, boosting economic impact, and showcasing our city’s rich maritime heritage on a global stage.

Preparation. Partnership. Progress. Sail250 is on the horizon, June 24 - 30, 2026, and we’re ready!

🚢 Big news for Harbor Connector riders!

Starting Monday, March 2, we're making changes to Routes 2 and 3. The biggest update: Route 2 is expanding to Maritime Park in Fells Point, creating a triangular route with more frequent trips across the harbor.

Route 3 (HC3) will now operate weekdays from 7 AM to 8 PM with a 15-minute frequency.

"Baltimore's harbor is one of our city's greatest assets," said Director Veronica P. McBeth. "The Harbor Connector enhances the waterfront experience by providing a free, convenient way to travel across the harbor, supporting a cleaner and more sustainable transportation system."

The OPPOSITE of typical coastal flooding - SUNDAY MORNING LOW TIDE IS THE MOST SUSCEPTIBLE TIME FOR IMPACTS

Widespread ice buildup along the shoreline; As block ice gets pushed away from shore, it could damage docks, moorings, and other property; this is a rare situation where the storm surge works in reverse, but the ice makes it dangerous in a different way.
