Life is such a wild ride.
To say that this year has been hard and I have experienced some incredibly low moments would be an understatment.

But God.

Here I am on my first day of my new job in October.

I’m trying to capture my new loafers (ha!) that make me feel awesome and remind me of how loved I am by my dear friends who got me the gift card to buy these.

And you know why I am excited - because it means that I really get to preach what I teach at All the Best Days. Time to travel more quickly and more often. Everything that we have created with our travel guides and bags is for women like me. Busy, working moms who need a person to take on the planning.

You (and I!) can still do this. We can still grab a bag, grab a guide and getaway.

This is my Mastermind.
We meet twice a month and get away once a year.

There would be no All the Best Days without them.

When I want to quit they say - not today.
They see things I can’t see.
And they push me to ask the right questions.

They are an incredible gift in my life.

(Fun fact: If I could eat one food for the rest of my life it would be oysters and had NEVER EVEN HAD ONE BEFORE - so we got that fixed this trip as well.)

Got up early to see the sunrise.
The fog was so thick that at some points I could barely see.

I was sad to not see the sunrise.
But I could see the path in front of me.
And I knew the sun rose.
It faithfully does that, thank goodness.

The fog did eventually lift and I was able to see the ocean.

I drove to Thunder Hole.
The tide was low so it wasn’t a huge wave.
It was cool to see and I got to hear the “thunder” a little.

Made my way to Jordan Pond.
(The promise of popovers and lemonade after the hike at the restaurant - yes please!)

Half way through the hike I climbed Bubble Rock.

It wasn’t easy. But I did it. One step at a time.

I haven’t loved this year but I have lived it one day at a time.

I don’t know what the summit looks like in one’s life. I’m certainly not there.
But there are views along the way.
Beautiful views.

And you can always stop and rest on the path.

I am a little enamored by the weather, I’ll be honest.
Oh and the food. The food is knocking me on my socks.
And the beautiful scenery. The sound of the seagulls. The crashing waves.

Am I fantasizing about moving here? Who doesn’t?! Literally. Who doesn’t?!

🛀 HOT SPRINGS, AR 🛀

There’s so many fun things to do in this town but of all the things, I love this the most! My favorite thing about it is that the experience is exactly the same as you would have received in the early 1900s. They still use all the original bathtubs and equipment which makes the experience so interesting and historical!

Yes you are nakey but they wrap you in a sheet and your bath is private. Except when the attendant unwraps you and you get in the tub! No doubt she’s seen it all!

It’s so cleansing. No lotions or soaps just good ol’ fashioned mineral water siphoned from the hot springs. You move from a whirlpool bath to hot packs to a steam box to a sitz bath and finally a needle shower.

I felt amazing after my bath. Do not skip this experience!
