The course is Coast Guard approved for boat captains with passengers, offering a variety of safety-based education and techniques. With National Walking Month coming to a close, we continue to invite you to join MDI Hospital's Wellness Program for 'Walks in the Park' all Summer long!

Our walking program is designed for pleasure and/or fitness. We encourage you to pace yourself alongside group walking members to enjoy a safe and peaceful walking activity. DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 1ST:

Bar Harbor Senior Taxpayer Assistance Program

The Town Council adopted a new town ordinance, Chapter 162, Senior Taxpayer Assistance Program, that took effect September 15, 2022.

To qualify, applicants must be 65 years of age or older and have lived in Bar Harbor for five consecutive years.

Applicants must also have been approved to receive a Maine Property Tax Fairness Credit for the 2021 income tax year.

Applications should be submitted to the Town Manager's Office by December 1, 2022.
