The SIA Foundation has donated another flight simulator!
The SIA Foundation (501c3 charity) is dedicated to getting students involved in aviation. We've donated over 6 flight simulators to school districts in Wisconsin so far. SIA also has holds aviation classes at the Baraboo-Dells Airport (the next class starts January 6th at the SIA office).

Pictured below are Anastasia Eisen (SIA Board Member) and Britt Solverson (United Airlines Captain and instructor for Southwestern Wisconsin School District's aviation program) Britt received the flight sim for the district and is a great resource for the student's interested in aviation there.

Lynx Software is the main sponsor of SIA.

John M Canepa Memorial Scholarship awarded to Seth Hitman.

Seth was born in Wichita Kansas, the city known as the Air Capital of the World. Wichita was the birthplace of Cessna, Beechcraft, and Stearman in the 20s and 30s and is currently the home to Textron Aviation (the parent company of Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker), Learjet, Airbus, and Boeing/Spirit Aerosystems. As a kid, Seth was around aviation often. "My grandparents met working on the beechcraft production floor building King Airs. Every Time we saw one, my grandpa would take a glance at the serial number and say 'Yep, I built this one'. Talking to him about airplanes is a large reason as to why I developed a passion for aviation." Seth will be attending UW Madison in the fall and plans on majoring in Electrical Engineering and potentially Computer Science as well. He hopes to obtain his pilot's license soon and is considering becoming a Certified Flight Instructor at some point in the future.

Ryte Byte/Lynx Software presents the scholarship to students who are hardworking overachievers, like John M Canepa, who was a WWII combat engineer. Past recipients of the scholarship include Solomon Stevens, Jessica Nelson, Alex Beers, Emily Kinsman, Philip Reasa, and others.

Lynx Software/Ryte Byte, Inc. awarded Solonom Stevens the John M Canepa Memorial Scholarship. Joe Canepa presents the scholarship to students who are hard working overachievers, like his father, who was a WWII combat engineer. Past recipients of the scholarship include Jessica Nelson, Alex Beers, Emily Kinsman, Philip Reasa, and others.

Solomon is a 2020 graduate of Baraboo High School who is planning to continue his computer science education at UW Whitewater as a computer science major. Solomon has many accomplishments in computer science including programming a breakout fusion game in Assembly, forming an independent gaming company, and completing Data Structures at Marquette University. Solomon is pictured here along side his mother, Sherry.

Coronavirus school closings.

Good morning everyone. We know many of our customers are in states where the schools have closed. Many of you may still be working. We just wanted to let you know that we are here if you need help to create special routes to deal with this emergency. Please call us if you need assistance. We are working with several customers to assist so there may be a some delay but we will get back with you as soon as we can.
