As some of you have asked about Austin's send-off for the Army, his Mom is taking him to a farewell lunch / celebration (also his 20th birthday) on Sunday, August 30th (Noon - 2P) at Bronco Billy's (on County BD, Lake Delton).

Feel free to stop by and wish him well as he embarks on a new Chapter in his life. Austin officially leaves for Fort Benning on Sept. 8th. No gifts - just your support!

FYI - Most of you know Austin (Mikell) as the grandkid that used to tag along on our Car Cruises / Shows, once led the Cruise for all of us. His dream car has been that light blue '55 Chevy convertible (which he still claims he will find someday). But in the meantime, he is very satisfied with driving Great Grandpa's old farm truck on outings.

Over the years many of you left your positive impressions on him. He has frequently turned to some of your pointers (?) to guide him along.

PS: He has assured us he will leave his little sister home, lol

Hey Baraboo Cruisers & Friends,

This week we have Mike & Shirley leading the gang up to the Dells area for some good dining and conversation.

As they are working out the details of the road trip and dining experience, let all of us jot that date down (Aug 19th) with plans to be in the parking lot (Festival Foods, West Baraboo) for a timely departure at 5:00pm.

You still have time to come join us, leaving Oct 1, returning Oct 12. Three day back roads cruise down, off Interstate; 6 days at Cruising The Coast; and a 3-day cruise home. I still have a couple rooms left in our block, but will be releasing them soon. If interested, let me hear from you!

Weekly the CTC Team sends out highlights of the venues we will visit. If nothing else, take a look at their page or Web-site. If not in the cards this year, start making plans for 2027.

SITE SPOTLIGHT: Every Thursday up until Oct. 1, we will feature a different official Cruisin' The Coast Site, with information about the location, scheduled entertainment, dates of operation, and any other bits of valuable info.

Today we feature Gautier and Moss Point, two hidden gems of the Mississippi Gulf Coast that continue to grow in popularity during Cruisin' Week.

Gautier will host their "Cruisin' Through The Decades" on Sunday, Oct. 4 from noon 6 p.m. at the site of the former Singing River Mall. It's a fun-filled day with music, food trucks and of course beautiful classic vehicles. That evening, a free drive-in movie takes cruisers back in time with the showing of "Stroker Ace" on the big screen.

Meanwhile, Moss Point will host "Cruisin' The River City" from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Live music, food trucks and gorgeous cruisin' vehicles will line Main Street.

Cruisers enjoy parking their hot rods at the confluence of the Escatawpa River and Pascagoula River, which is a beautiful area of South Mississippi.

Baraboo Cruisers & Friends,

We are looking at a "DAY CRUISE" this coming Friday (Aug 14) that will start at 10:00AM ... what's your interest?

John & Lucinda have put together a great back roads route from the old Isenberg's parking lot (Hwy 33 at Co T), over to Fox Lake (Eggies Diner). We would be leaving the starting point at 10:00AM with a planned arrival at the Diner about 11:30A / lunch time.

You would control the clock for lunch, and at our departure from Eggies could be a direct ride back on Highway 33, or you could retrace your back roads cruise home. Either way, we would anticipate a return to Baraboo around 2pm.

They would like a rough estimate of people coming, so please reply here if you are considering it. A solid headcount will be taken in the parking lot before departure.

Hope to have you join us ... John & Lucinda #608-963-9979

Baraboo Cruisers & friends,

This week (Wednesday, August 12) we have Bev & Jack that will be leading the gang on a backroads cruise to HOTDOG AVENUE on the edge of Sauk City.

We hope that you can join us in the Festival Foods parking lot (West Baraboo) for a timely departure at 5:00pm (Aug 12).

Just a reminder that several of the upcoming Wednesday Night Cruises are open if you wish to nominate a dining site and lead us to it. Give Dennis a shout, or reply from here.
