If you love Italy but feel like you've already been and seen the postcards — read this.

Most people can't quite place Sardinia. An Italian island, somewhere in the Mediterranean, known for beaches. That's where the picture usually ends.

It's wrong. Sardinia is a country within a country. Its own language, its own ancient culture, its own way of life. It's a landscape that moves from wild mountains to ancient villages to staggering coastline within hours. For one island, it is almost impossibly varied.

My mom gave me travel before I knew what travel meant. I've spent the years since trying to give the magic back to her, and now to my own kids.

Being with my mom and my kids and traveling the world feels like winning the lottery. Sometimes I look around and can't believe I get to live this life.

An incredible Caribbean sunset. A fresh croissant at a Parisian café. Cooking a meal in an Italian kitchen.

Shaping memories, sharing smiles, creating the building blocks of what will shape my kids' character and their lives — and giving my mom moments that will be the best of hers.

This is why I love what I do and care so deeply about our travelers. It's not for the itineraries. It's for the moments that happen to you inside them.

Happy Mother's Day to every mom who has ever handed their kid a passport and and a dream and said — "let's go!". 💖
