2026 Biking season is here in Beaufort, NC! Beaufort Bike Rental would love to rent you some bikes to help you explore America's Coolest Small Town! Here is the info that you need to know about bike rentals in Beaufort, NC!

We have three stand locations where you can rent the bikes from for a ride around town, and we offer 'Vacation Rental' bikes where we will bring the bikes out to where you are staying and then pick them up when you are done. Below is how it all works:

From the stands:

We currently have three stand locations:

Downtown Beaufort
(In the Beaufort Realty parking lot)
325 Front St, Beaufort, NC 28516

Beaufort Hotel
2440 Lennoxville Rd, Beaufort, NC 28516

Beach Bowls
Corner of Live Oak St and Cedar St
816 Cedar St, Beaufort, NC 28516

From those stand you can rent them for the following time periods:

Half an hour: $5.50
Hour: $10 per hour
Half day (up to 6 hours) $45
Full Day (return by midnight): $75

If you go over the time period you selected, i.e. if you choose hourly and then bike for 3 hours, your charge is $30 plus tax.

The stands are open for rentals from sun up to sunset.

You use your smart phone to check out the bikes; we use a rental system called Movatic, and if you have rented bikes other places you may already have it on your phone...it is a nationwide app. It will walk you through plugging in your info, selecting a bike and a time period, paying for it, and unlocking your bike. All together it generally takes less than 5 minutes the first time you do it.

Vacation Rental Bikes:

We offer bikes for your entire stay here in the area! With rentals like these, we bring the bikes out to where you are staying, pick them up when you head out of town, and are on hand if you need any service while you are here.

With these rentals we have a 2 day minimum, and no maximum term or minimum number of bikes. We can work with any party size from one to twenty five.

As far as cost, we price it based on how many bikes and how long you will be renting them. The most expensive is one bike for two days; for that is it $45 per bike per day. If you were to rent two bikes for two days it $40 per bike per day, and then on down from there. We can do weekly, monthly, whatever you need, just give us a call or shoot us an email ([email protected]) and we will figure out what works for you!

For vacation rentals bikes we do also have some specialty bikes available upon request; we have a few children's bikes, and we have a tandem bike.

The main bikes are seven speed cruiser bikes with baskets on the front. They have hand brakes and gears, adjustable seats, and integrated locks (incase you want to stop off for some shopping or a bite to eat during your ride!)

Beaufort is a wonderful place to ride; flat and easy to navigate. Even with the road construction in certain spots, it is still a delight to explore. You may see wild horses, dolphins, historic homes, and all sorts of cool sights!
