Yesterday, we had a visitor come to our Town Docks as a part of his mission to complete The Great Loop. However, this attempt is being entirely done on jet ski!

The captain, Raj Melvin, has travelled over 3,000 miles on his PWC (Stoic) and is aiming to be the 8th person ever to do The Great Loop by jet ski.

The Great Loop is a continuous 6,000-mile system of protected waterways that allows recreational boaters to circumnavigate the eastern half of the United States. Those who complete the entire trip are then known as “Loopers.”

When you’re able to see this in-person, be sure to come say 👋 to our staff. Our offices are open from 8 AM-6 PM and staff is available to help answer any questions you may have!

This project, known as "Menhaden Tales," was graciously created and donated by Arts In Beaufort NC in an effort to highlight the rich history of the Menhaden fishing industry in Beaufort, NC 🎣

All are welcome to help us celebrate this meaningful addition to our community and the history it represents!

Check out the Viking 80 “Backlash,” right here in our Town Docks! This Sport Fisher yacht has been a feature of our docks throughout the summer season.

While originally arriving in July, we are happy that they have been able to extend their stay with us. “Beaufort is amazing, we love Beaufort!,” says Captain Lance of the Backlash.
