Today, we celebrate the birth of our nation and its principles of liberty, freedom, and self-governance established by our Founding Fathers nearly 250 years ago. Their vision and courage laid the foundation for the opportunities and freedoms we continue to cherish today.

As we gather with family and friends, let us take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made to secure our independence and appreciate the values that unite us as Americans.

Thank you to Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock for visiting the Port of Beaumont and spending time with our team and community partners.

During his visit, Comptroller Hancock highlighted the Port’s critical role in Southeast Texas, saying, “The Port of Beaumont is a powerhouse for Southeast Texas — moving billions in goods, supporting families and contributing to our state's role as the nation’s economic leader.”

He also shared that, based on the Comptroller’s estimates, trade through the Port of Beaumont in 2024 supported 157,000 net jobs and contributed $23.4 billion to Texas’ gross domestic product.

We appreciate his leadership and continued support of Texas ports and the vital role they play in strengthening our state’s economy.
