Remember when I told you that we occasionally we get to do some really cool stuff here at the farm? Last week we hosted NexGen Youth Leadership - a new program through the Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce. This group is designed to take student leaders and immerse them in real world leadership roles around our community so they can have a better understanding of what it truly means to live, learn, work, and play in our area.
While they were here, we talked about communication in agriculture. We covered everything from how we communicate to our employees, to processors, to feed suppliers and also how we get our message out, which includes social media. The kids were broken into three different groups, and each created a TikTok reel about our farm from the information that I had given them. The groups were picked randomly, and they were given 30 minutes to create the reel. Stay tuned as we will share them with you over the next couple days. These young kids are super sharp, and were locked on to everything that we talked about. Such a great example of youth that wants to learn!
