Today, we gather to remember Captain Ross Baudot — not just as a captain at Alexis Marine LLC, , but as a truly special person in our lives.

Ross brought energy and joy wherever he went. He was funny, loud, silly, quick with a joke, and had an incredible knack for making people laugh when they needed it most. Some of our fondest memories include his laughter echoing in the background.

Beyond his sense of humor, Ross was an exceptionally skilled captain. Watching him handle a vessel and maneuver tow was something to behold. He had a natural talent for it — calm under pressure, confident, smooth, and proficient in a way that earned everyone’s respect without asking. The river was simply part of who he was.

Losing him is profoundly painful. The boats, the docks, the radios, and the river itself just aren’t the same without Ross. We already miss the jokes, stories, laughter, and having him around.

We are grateful for every mile, every memory, every laugh, and every moment shared with him.

Rest in peace, Captain Ross. You will always be part of the Alexis Marine family, and you will never be forgotten.
