Our company has been an integral part of the Southern New Jersey and Greater Philadelphia communities since 1981 when George and Lyn Holcomb started with a few small routes. Their hard work and commitment to quality, customer service, and the safety and care of our passengers made us a trusted resource within the communities and districts we serve. Today, our company is still a part of those communities, but we now boast more than 276 team members and transport over 6,754 passengers daily. While still influenced by the desire and compassion of George and Lyn, their sons AJ and George Holcomb now lead our company. As the second generation, their vision is rooted in a deep appreciation of the past and a drive to embrace a progressive approach to safe, efficient, and technologically advanced school bus transportation.

⚠️ Safety Harness Vest 101 ⚠️

Some important info on safety harness vests:

Your child MUST be wearing their harness vest before boarding the bus.
• Drivers and aides do not put harnesses on students.
• To keep all bus routes on schedule, additional time cannot be provided at the bus stop to put on or adjust a harness.
• Please make sure the harness is properly fitted and fastened before the bus arrives.
• Harness should be worn under a thick winter coat.

SIZING GUIDE
Measure the larger of your child's chest or waist circumference.
If your child has grown, the harness no longer fits correctly, your child is no longer wearing a harness or taking the bus, please contact Holcomb Bus Company. 856-931-3632

HARNESS CARE
✔ Wash with cold water and mild detergent
✔ Do NOT use bleach or fabric softener
✔ Air dry only (Do not machine dry)
✔ Inspect after washing for damage

REPORT IMMEDIATELY IF THE HARNESS IS:
• Damaged
• Missing parts
• Torn or frayed
• No longer fits your child properly
Do not repair or modify the harness.

🛑 STOP FOR THE SCHOOL BUS! 🛑

When a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop arm extended, STOP. Every single time.

Those few seconds you save by passing a stopped school bus are never worth risking a child’s life. Children may be crossing the road, and they can be unpredictable.

Missouri has also strengthened the penalties for failing to stop for a school bus. Under the new law, effective August 28, 2026, violations can result in $500–$3,000 in fines, points on your driving record, and possible license suspension. If a child is injured or killed, the consequences can be even more serious.

🚍 Please slow down. Pay attention. Stop for the bus.

🚌 A message worth remembering:

There are always two sides to every story.
As school transportation professionals, our responsibility is to ensure that every student arrives at school and home safely. That sometimes means correcting behavior, enforcing seating expectations, or addressing actions that may be distracting or unsafe.
Accountability isn’t about “picking on” a child — it’s about teaching safe choices and protecting everyone on the bus.
If your child comes home upset about something that happened on the bus, we encourage families to ask questions, listen, and communicate with the transportation team before making assumptions.

Every child deserves to be heard, and so does everyone else. 💛🚌
