It was a hot one on Sunday at the fair! Kane and Kyte are definitely not our fast, competitive team but they sure look good and it’s great exposure for young horses. They did great and no one melted in the 100°+ heat thanks to a new misting fan, best purchase ever!😂

Draft horses were bred for generations to pull, and their bodies tell that story the moment you see them. They have massive shoulders, thick necks, powerful hindquarters, and a calm, steady temperament that thrives on routine and purpose. They are not built for stillness or idleness. They are built for movement, for strength, and for steady work that gives direction to all that power.

Their design is not accidental. A properly fitted harness spreads the load across the strongest parts of their bodies, allowing them to lean into the work using their whole frame. It is not strain or struggle when they are conditioned and cared for well. It is design doing exactly what it was created to do. Watching a draft horse step forward feels less like effort and more like intention.

And they do not simply tolerate the work. They come alive in it. Their ears turn forward. Their steps grow purposeful. Their bodies settle into a rhythm that feels natural to them. Many draft horses become restless when they are left without something to do, because purpose is part of how they were shaped. They were made for movement, for partnership, and for direction.

There is something quietly beautiful about that.

Because we, too, were created with intention. We were not designed to drift through life without meaning or direction. Like the draft horse, we carry strength within us for a reason. Purpose is not a burden when it fits the way God formed you. It is not something that wears you down when it is aligned with how you were made.

Watching them work feels like a quiet reminder that when you do what God asks you to do, you can feel fully alive. God created you for a purpose. And when you find that purpose? Don't run from it. Lean into it. Because when you do, it can be amazing what God can accomplish through you.

The 2026 National Western Stock Show is in the books! The girls were the chosen ones this year. This was their first ever experience with a show and they did not disappoint! We are over the moon with how good this team is and so incredibly sweet as well. There were 29 teams entered this year and the girls came home with a couple fourth places and a seventh, not bad for the chaotic environment they were tossed into. After a couple events, they seemed to catch on to the game. Next year should be really fun! As always, thank you to our family and friends for your help and support, we couldn’t do it without you!
