Porreca Freight drivers are screened and trained on all of the latest TSA mandates and rules regarding the movement of air freight, tendering air freight to airlines and other IACs, and for the movement of screened freight to and from Certified Cargo Screening Facilities. • All pickups & deliveries are dispatched and rated by commercial zone. These zones usually relate to how far a city is from the nearest major airport and how many commercial businesses are located in that area.
• Pick up and delivery companies are often referred to as cartage companies or agents. In the Chicago area for example, when a pickup is called in to us for a shipper located in Elgin, the city of Elgin is serviced as an Area D according to our tariff and points list. This is because Elgin is located 35 miles from O’Hare (ORD) and does not have as many commercial businesses as say Rosemont. Rosemont is an Area A. If a point not noted as an serviced area, we may be able to service it but there may be additional days required to service these points and additional fees may apply. . Hot Shot Expedited Deliveries

If you have a special piece coming in on a flight, we can have our drivers meet it at the airport and drive it directly from the airport terminal to its destination. We can pick up trade show items right off the event floor at the convention center or hotel and deliver them non-stop to your next show. Porreca Freight has a 45,000 square foot warehouse with complete storage and distribution capabilities. We are also a bonded CFS statation and specialize in the loading and unloading od ocean containers.
