And the 2025 season comes to an end…

Collectively, these guys have cut plants, transplanted, weeded, and hand-harvested our sweetpotatoes. There is no “us” without “them.” We are so thankful for the sacrifice to come here & be the backbone of our operation!

Say a prayer & keep them in your thoughts as they travel back home to Mexico over the next few days. 🇺🇸➡️🇲🇽

And that’s a wrap on the 2023 harvest season 🍠👏🏼

Many of our guest workers from Mexico are heading home this week after months of hard work. We are always thankful for these guys being a huge part of our operation. Many of these guys have been with us for years + often recruit other members of their families to be a part of our operations. Even some being two generations.

These guys are the reason we are able to provide quality sweetpotatoes to our customers near and far. We are extremely grateful for the work they do + being apart of the Wood Farms family. 🧡

¡Hasta la vista, amigos! Muchas gracias

The SJHS FFA Marketing Plan CDE team competed today at the State Competition at UMO! They got THIRD in the state! 👏🏼

They developed and executed a marketing plan of our very own ‘Sweet Winnie’ Microwaveable Sweetpotatoes. They took info from us about branding, what stores we’re in, the history, costs and price to put together a fantastic marketing plan. Plus, they took a box of Sweet Winnies and created this amazing display! 🍠

We’re so proud of these kids + honored they were able to represent our ‘Sweet Winnie’ label at the state contest. Wood Farms is proud to be a supporter of the South Johnston High School FFA Chapter 💙💛
