Here's some cool news for your Monday-after-a-holiday-weekend... Join us at 9 a.m. Friday, July 17 to break ground on the extension of the Razorback Greenway from Mercy Way north to the Bluebird Trailhead off Riordan Road. We will gather just east of Sugar Creek Center on the former golf course. See you there!

The Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission will expand the Razorback Greenway across Bentonville, Rogers, and Bella Vista.

The 40-mile paved trail, which connects seven Northwest Arkansas cities, will now shift focus toward how the surrounding land, transportation, and public spaces can evolve alongside the Greenway.

Bentonville and Rogers will begin work immediately, with Bella Vista following later in the process. Planning efforts will explore future growth, stronger neighborhood connections, and improved access along the trail.

🚨 update - the closure has been shifted to the week of May 18th to the 22nd

Beginning Monday, May 11, until Friday, May 15, a section of the Razorback Regional Greenway between West Center and West Spring Streets will be detoured each day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to allow for the removal of an overhead protection canopy over the trail, as part of the adjacent construction of student housing.

The 750-foot stretch of trail from West Center Street north toward West Meadow Street is anticipated to reopen without the overhead canopy on Friday, May 15. During the closure times, trail traffic will be directed to use sidewalks to North West Avenue.

Greenway traffic should be cautious of the changing surface conditions. Signs will be installed to direct trail traffic and provide warning of adjacent work areas. Walkers, runners and cyclists are asked to observe detour and other signs on trails and provide adequate distance between themselves and construction work.
