You know what’s one of those things you don’t really notice until it’s just wrong?

Audio production🎚️. (also handshakes☠️)

When an event sounds flawless, it feels effortless. But the reality is that great sound is a meticulous science that we usually just take for granted. Behind the scenes, it takes an immense amount of work:

- Curating the perfect playlist to seamlessly guide the energy.
- Constantly monitoring and micro-adjusting levels so the music is crisp, balanced, and never overpowering.
- Managing a mountain of complex equipment to ensure zero technical hiccups.

Audio can completely make or break an event. That’s exactly why we trusted Scott over at 2Wheels Productions for our reopening party.

Scott is an absolute master of his craft. Not only did he keep the vibes perfect all night, but he also transitioned flawlessly between his own set and Funk Factory without missing a THING.

We love celebrating the brands that help us build confident young riders, and our history with runs the absolute deepest. Fun fact: Buddy Pegs was actually ’s very first retail partner in the United States! We’ve been aligned on youth cycling since the beginning.

That alignment is stronger than ever today. As we've been working around the clock to build out this new space, the team at woom stepped up in a huge way, contributing directly to our rebuild to help make this dream headquarters a reality.

There is a reason they are such incredible partners- they truly care about the development of the whole child. They design for the entire youth journey, making the absolute lightest kids' bikes on the market with upright geometry for instant confidence. We are especially excited to showcase their brand-new, ultra-low entry balance bikes that get toddlers rolling safely, all the way up to their legendary youth mountain bikes.

If you’ve been around Buddy Pegs & Pedal Kids for a while, you know our mission is all about building confidence and connection. And we couldn’t do that without partners who care just as much about youth cycling as we do. Enter Prevelo Bikes.

This incredible performance will be powered by our friends at Music Moves. We are huge fans of their mission- especially their School Tours curriculum, which brings the rich history of Black music into classrooms to inspire the next generation of artists. 🏆

The party continues with at their massive Freedom Festival on June 20th, which helps commemorate and celebrate the recognition of Juneteenth- the federal holiday that marks the end of slavery in the United states. Buddy Pegs isn’t just a kids bike shop anymore.

We’re growing into a space for the whole ride—kids, parents, first-timers, seasoned riders… everyone.

Yes, we’re still all about getting kids on bikes.
That will always be at our core.

But now?
We’ve expanded into gravel, mountain, e-bikes, commuters, and more—because riding doesn’t stop when you grow up.
It becomes something you share.

And with that growth… we’re hiring.

We’re looking for a Service Tech / Mechanic who’s just as comfortable turning a wrench as they are helping someone feel at home in the shop.
