Legends Air Center Open House: National Aviation Week & Louise Thaden Day

Celebrate National Aviation Week and pioneering aviator Louise Thaden with us at the Legends Air Center Open House! Whether you are a lifelong aviation enthusiast or visiting your local airport for the very first time, this family-friendly event has something for everyone!

✈️Aircrafts on Display: Get up close with a variety of airplanes featured inside our Exhibit Hangar.
🛫Discovery Flight Giveaways: Enter to win a free 30 minute discovery flight with an LAC Flight Instructor!
🗺️Airport Behind-the-Scenes Tours: Take a guided tour to see how our local aviation hub operates.
👩🏻‍✈️Explore Legends Air Center: Discover our FBO, LAC Flight School, FLY OZ Flying Club, Charter Services, and Scenic/Discovery Flights while meeting our team.
🎤Live Music: Enjoy live music by FiNiX from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
🍔🍹Food & Drinks: Louise Cafe will be open from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with food and drinks available for purchase.

Big news in the FLY OZ skies! Join us in raising a glass (and a prop) to FLY OZ Club member Matt Cooper on passing his Private Pilot checkride! As the founder and chef behind Bentonville favorites Conifer and RYN
, Matt already knows a thing or two about dedication, precision, and passion. When asked how it felt to officially add “pilot” to his resume alongside chef, locksmith, and sailor, he shared that he felt a huge sense of relief, accomplishment, and excitement to start this next chapter of his journey. Matt initially took to the skies to expand his horizons and open up new access for his hospitality work, taking full advantage of the flexible training right here at the LAC flight center. While he loves the classic charm of biplanes and dreams of one day flying over the Scottish Highlands, Matt’s aviation journey is just getting started. He’s already setting his sights high with plans to earn his Commercial Pilot certificate and even his CFI. Huge congratulations, Matt! We are endlessly proud of your hard work and can’t wait to see all the incredible flying memories you make from here. ✈️🥂✨

We brought a little piece of Wisconsin magic straight to Arkansas! 🎆
Pretzel bites with cheese,cheese curds, custard, A&W rootbeer floats and a sky full of fireworks—AirVenture Nighttime Air Show Watch Party was a total hit. Sharing these incredible aviation moments with our members back home is what FLY OZ is all about. Thank you to everyone who came out!💙✈️

FLY OZ Club Event: AirVenture Watch Party!
Can’t make it to Oshkosh? Bring the excitement home at our AirVenture Nighttime Air Show Watch Party on July 22nd at 7:00 PM! Gather with the FLY OZ Club at the Legends Air Center Exhibit Hangar to stream the incredible mix of aerobatics, aircraft, and fireworks live. We’ll be fueling the fun with beverages and iconic Wisconsin snacks (think cheese curds and frozen custard!) from Culvers of Bentonville. See you there!

Join us Thursday, July 16 for an evening of friendly competition, great food, and refreshing drinks!

🍴 Louise Café will be debuting their expanded menu, with food and drinks available to order from 4:00–8:00 PM. FLY OZ CLUB members can order directly from the lounge while they play!
