I started in transit 16 years ago (yesterday). As much as there is plenty to learn, I think I've done a decent job as an advocate, manager, leader, and know train guy.

Back in 2012, I spoke at my first conference in Savannah GA. I was nervous, but spoke about social media, KPIs, and bridging transit to it. My first manager, Barb, was in attendance. She knew that I had a talent and took a chance on me; and I'm thankful for her (in perpetuity), as I hope she is resting easily.

Fast forward about 13 years later. I got to witness my former staff work his first conference. dazzled the crowds explaining about event planning and transit for the DMV. Fun fact: he was an intern with Seamless Bay Area () before working with me, and he (with his peers, mind you) made transit, mobility, and equity better for our region (and the DMV).

The career continues onward. Trains, planes, scooters, or legs/wheels.
