Another look at this house move on the Pacific coast in Gold Beach, Oregon. Just fifteen feet from the eroding cliff edge, the home was considered unsellable and increasingly at risk. The owner believed there was a solution, however—and Wolfe made it happen with a carefully engineered relocation that moved the house 200 feet inland, away from the cliff while preserving the home's Pacific Ocean view.

Footage from our Oregon crew’s relocation of an oceanfront home in Gold Beach, Oregon. Coastal erosion is a very real issue for many homeowners of beachfront properties, and we’re grateful to be able to offer a solution that allows them to keep their homes. Our crew used a unified jacking system with push rams and skates to move the 64’ x 78’ home 200 feet over roll beams, away from the edge of the bluff and over its new foundation.

A 22' x 42' roof section. Twenty feet of lift. A facility transformed.

For facilities that need more space, expansion doesn't always mean adding to a building's footprint; vertical expansion can also open new possibilities. In this industrial warehouse, Wolfe assisted the client in obtaining an additional twenty feet of clearance by lifting a section of roof, supporting it while new structural columns were installed, and then setting it into place at the new elevation.

Our crew installed Buckingham column jacks, then used a unified jacking system to elevate the roof. The jacking towers then supported the roof section while the new columns were installed underneath. When installation was complete, Wolfe lowered the roof onto its new supports, completing the work safely and with minimal disruption to facility operations.

Lifting a two-story home over ten feet is where experience and precision meet, and our Wolfe House & Building Movers crew delivered both on this foundation replacement project along the Schuylkill River.

Using a Buckingham unified jacking system, we raised the 33' x 58' block and frame home to provide the necessary clearance for a new engineered foundation system. In addition to the temporary steel lifting system, we furnished and installed the permanent galvanized steel support structure, including beams, channels, tube columns, and angles.

After the new foundation and concrete columns were completed, our team carefully lowered the home onto its permanent support, resulting in a finished elevation gain of just over seven feet. Today, the home is better protected from flooding, supported by a new engineered foundation, and benefits from open, usable space beneath it.

Moving three full‑size log cabins 72 miles through the Colorado mountains is the kind of project is known for.

Our crew lifted and loaded the 25'×35′, 19'×43′, and 19'×28′ log cabins using and transported them from Alamosa, CO to Creede, CO. The cabins were staged alongside the prepared foundations and set using our slide beam and toe‑jack system.

A great project out west, and a solid example of the long‑distance structural moves our team handles across the country!

Wolfe recently relocated this 28' x 42' log cabin, driving it through two open fields before setting it onto its new foundation. The move was completed using four power dollies equipped with track systems, giving the building the traction necessary to travel safely across 3,600 feet of open terrain.

Originally part of a three‑unit log‑cabin model display, the owner chose to repurpose the building by moving it to a new location and converting it to a residence. The relocation is another great example of how structural moving can preserve a well-built structure while adapting it for a new purpose and setting.

relocated a 96‑ton historic home beside the Dobbin House Tavern in Gettysburg last week, moving it approximately 50 feet back from the road to make room for a new public park and community space. This project is part of a larger effort celebrating the 250th birthday of the 1776 Dobbin House, and we’re honored to support such a meaningful milestone.

The new community area will feature historical documents and interpretive elements contributed by several partners, creating an open public space along Steinwehr Avenue that connects visitors and local residents to Gettysburg’s rich heritage. These installations will be added during the upcoming phases of the project. The park and its historical features are expected to be completed by August 2026, timed to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the original 1776 ceremony in which Rev. Dobbin consecrated his newly built home on that very date.
