Sold! Not only sold, but DELIVERED!!
In some cases we will deliver the vessel if needed. This boat was taken to Mississippi. Who does that? We do! Broker Mike Wick sold this Glass Stream and hauled it himself to the new owner out of state. When we say we see you through, we mean it!

We left early from Ponce Inlet this morning for the short trip to Cape Canaveral. The weather was perfect and the seas were just right. We saw turtles and dolphins and the water looked like diamonds.
We passed Cape Canaveral and the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse.
We pulled into Port Canaveral and were greeted by the cruise ships docked on either side. Passengers waved to us from their balconies as we passed by.
Finally, Empire made it to its new home at Ocean Club Marina at Port Canaveral where she will be available for charters by sophisticatedyachtingfl
Jenn and Mike throughly enjoyed being part of this amazing opportunity to bring Empire home.

Today we bid farewell to Fernandina/Amelia Island, FL. We had a long day that would take us to Ponce inlet, passing Jacksonville Beach, Palm Coast and Daytona.
The seas were mostly 3 ft waves that just about lulled everyone to sleep on the top deck.
We saw flying fish, a turtle, a porpoise and dolphins along the way.
Our Marina is a very small marina in the Ponce Inlet that proved tricky to maneuver due to shallow spots or misplaced markers.
The Marina was closed by the time we arrived and no one was available to field our complaints.
We were put in a slip that was clearly not big enough for our vessel.
All I can think of is that song, “Baby got back” because the Empire’s a$$ end is sticking off the end of the dock due to an unmanned catamaran that is parked right in the middle, blocking where we should be. 🤦🏻‍♀️
To make matters worse, there is no water from the hookups near us.
Thank goodness for extra long hoses because the crew found a working hookup and ran hoses all the way over to it.
Once everything was set and secure, shore power was connected and we basked in the cool air.
It was an early night for everyone as the wind and heat and days on the ocean have worn everyone out.
Tomorrow is our final leg of the trip.
We head to Cape Canaveral from here.

We left St. Simon’s Island, but not before meeting up with good friends, Bill and Christina Tomlinson. Jenn and Bill used to work together on River St. in Savannah in the early 2000’s.
It’s great to be able to call on good friends to help out and you know they will be there.
We spent half a day at the Marina waiting for parts only to find the wrong parts were sent.🤦🏻‍♀️
We changed plans, packed everything up and set sail for Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island, instead of our intended target of Jacksonville, FL.
We passed Fort Clinch before settling in to Fernandina Harbor Marina for the night.
We had some celebratory cold beverages and ended the night with a beautiful sunset.

I don’t have a complete map for yesterday, but our goal was to make it from Sav, GA to Jacksonville, FL.
Mike’s former 1st Sgt, Jeff Harstine was a tremendous help while we were at the Thunderbolt Marina. It’s always good to see him.
On our way out of Thunderbolt, we were escorted by 2 dolphins. (Photos below)
We made it as far as the Golden Isles of GA, more specifically, St. Simon’s Island.

We are still having generator issues which means that during the day we have no air conditioning, which also results in no refrigerator surfing 😂 and most importantly, no water. 😭
We are fine hooked up to shore power at night , but when we aren’t, we just get creative.
We have parts on order that are supposed to be delivered to us in Brunswick, GA, as the fuel pumps for the generators are in-operative, even after somehow they were “just serviced.”
Jenn has called an old buddy from when she worked in Savannah who lives in the Brunswick area. He and his wife have graciously offered to bring us parts or anything else we need before we take off for St. Augustine.
Despite the mechanical difficulties, it’s been a wonderful day on the water. We’ve had 1-2 ft waves with a steady breeze, making being on the water an enjoyable experience.

It was such a busy day that I didn’t take many photos.
We left Hilton Head Island SC and headed toward Savannah, GA. We had great winds and made up some time due to improperly working generators.
We settled in Thunderbolt for the evening and have parts on order for the morning.
This leg of the trip has been Jenn’s favorite so far, as she lived in the Savannah area for many years. She finally was able to visit the Thunderbolt Marina that she only knew by passing on the way to Tybee Island.
We caught dinner in town and Jenn and Mike had to show the rest of the crew Wet Wi***es on River St. and get a sample of pralines like old times.
Although the area is not looking as vibrant as it once did, it holds a lot of good memories of where Jenn and Mike met some 30ish years ago. They never expected to return to this very spot via boat. To share it with friends made it even more special.
We will see if we can get the parts installed tomorrow and continue on to Jacksonville.
