Our mission is to get our customers’ goods from Point A to Point B by finding the best carrier from our vast, nationwide network to get the freight delivered safely and on-time. Efficiency and Communication are the keys to our success, and we need detail-oriented high achievers to help us continue to grow.
Overview/Description:
This is a high-energy position, requiring a willingness for negotiating and securing commitments from our national network of freight carriers to ship our customer’s freight.
Full-Time, 40 hours per week OR Part Time, M-F, no weekends required.
Responsibilities:
- Search for and identify carriers that are the most well suited to move a particular load
- Convey client requirements and negotiate shipment schedule, terms and rates
- Create and Manage Load Documents:
- Create, edit and provide load confirmations
- Receive signed rate confirmations
- Receive POD’s, BOL’s, etc (Proof of Delivery/Bill Of Lading)
- Schedule load pickup and delivery times
- Conduct periodic check-in’s with carriers to accurately track the movement of the shipment
- Assist management with mitigating claims and other complications
- Vet carriers against minimum standards and complete the necessary contracting
- Track our carriers trucks and know where they will need loads
- Build relationships with select carriers to determine specialties and preferences and encourage repeat business

- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong Basic computer skills including: word processing, spreadsheets, internet browsing, email, and electronic filing locations
- MS Office and Google Apps knowledge preferred
- Strong English Communication skills, foreign language skills a plus
- Understanding of basic Arithmetic and Geography
Experience:
- 1+ year in a sales or customer service position with responsibility for meeting quotas and/or achievement-dependent compensation Preferred
- Transportation or Shipping Industry experience preferred but not required
- Applicable education or training may be substituted for experience
Education:
- GED or HS Diploma Required
- Some continuing education or degree preferred but not required
