🙏 Weekly Word from Alabama Carriers 🙏

Meet Andy, Dispatcher at Alabama Carriers!

For the past 23 years, Andy has been an important part of the Alabama Carriers team as a Dispatcher. He helps coordinate loads moving out of Alabama and works closely with drivers to assist with any challenges that may come up during loading and delivery. Whether it's finding solutions or answering questions, Andy is always ready to support the drivers who keep the company moving.

What Andy enjoys most about working at Alabama Carriers is the people. The relationships he's built with coworkers and drivers over the years are what make the job so rewarding.

Outside of work, Andy stays busy with family life. He has been married to his wife, Alicia, for eight years, and together they have 7-year-old twin boys. Between football, basketball, and baseball practices and games, their schedule is always full. When he finds a little free time, Andy enjoys playing golf and watching sports.

If given the chance to spend a day in another department, Andy would choose to work in the shop to learn more about DOT inspections, trailer repairs, and everything that goes into keeping equipment ready for the road, especially during the summer heat.

At work, Andy's must-haves are simple: Post-it Notes and a pen.

The most rewarding part of Andy's job is helping drivers. He believes they are the backbone of the company and takes pride in being someone they can rely on when challenges arise. Whether it's a small issue or a major obstacle, Andy is committed to helping drivers work through it and get back on track.

Andy's dedication, teamwork, and commitment to supporting drivers make him a valued member of the Alabama Carriers family. Thank you, Andy, for all you do!

Meet Adam, our Recruiter and Orientation Manager at Alabama Carriers!
Adam plays a key role in getting contractors started at ACI. He guides Owner Operators and Lease Purchase contractors through the lease-on process, making sure everything goes smoothly from day one. From onboarding and company policies to insurance and E-Logs, Adam helps ensure contractors have the tools and support they need to succeed.

Adam enjoys the strong relationships he builds with both drivers and team members. He appreciates being part of a company that values family, supports its drivers, and focuses on helping people grow personally & professionally.

Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with family and friends, whether that’s relaxing at the beach, hitting the golf course, or going out for dinner. He’s also a big Alabama Football and Atlanta Braves fan. In his downtime, Adam enjoys playing guitar and never passes up a good plate of Cajun pasta.

Teamwork, dedication, and a positive attitude are just a few of the things that make Adam such a valued part of the ACI team. Thank you, Adam, for the difference you make on our team!

This month's Contractor Spotlight recognizes Matthew, an Owner Operator who brings dedication, hard work, and a positive attitude to the road every day.

When Matthew is out on the road, you'll usually find him listening to audiobooks or music while traveling from one destination to the next. He also makes sure to keep a few essentials close by, including coffee and pecans, which are always riding along in his truck.

Over the years, Matthew has hauled many different loads, but one trip stands out above the rest. His first load to Oregon marked the first time he had traveled that far west, making it a memorable experience that he still looks back on today.

Away from work, Matthew enjoys spending quality time with his family. One of his favorite ways to relax is sitting on the front porch swing with his wife, enjoying a cup of coffee and slowing down after time spent on the road.

For drivers who are new to the industry, Matthew's advice is simple: don't be too picky about the loads you take, and remember that patience goes a long way. He believes in paying attention to the road, taking care of each load, and completing every job in a way that makes you proud of the work you've done.

One of the things Matthew appreciates most about Alabama Carriers is the family atmosphere and support system throughout the company. He values the security of knowing the office staff always has his back, enjoys working with the dispatch team, and appreciates that fellow drivers are always willing to lend a helping hand when needed.

When asked what has contributed most to his success, Matthew points to a strong work ethic, keeping an open mind about opportunities, and working closely with dispatchers to create a plan that works for everyone. He believes those qualities have helped him build a successful career while maintaining the flexibility and support he values.
