“When safe and reliable wheelchair transportation to medical appointments and other essential activities becomes a necessity, it is often an emotionally challenging experience that families and individuals have little or no preparation for. The professionalism demonstrated by everyone at Hadaway Transport is exemplary and is matched by the warmth, compassion, and care they bring to every service call.
Providing this type of transportation is uniquely personal, requiring gentleness paired with skill to safely assist passengers and, when needed, their caregivers. This work involves literal human touch, which can be difficult for many reasons, including acute physical pain, emotional distress, or PTSD resulting from previous trauma. The Hadaway Transport team offers compassionate care that is both reassuring and appropriate, always prioritizing their clients’ safety, comfort, and dignity.
Often, they work with clients who are in pain, frustrated, or depressed, yet the team at Hadaway Transport consistently maintains its composure, professionalism, and focus. Beyond providing dependable transportation, they take the time to truly get to know their clients, caregivers, and families, interacting with kindness, understanding, and genuine compassion.
Relying on this kind of service is an intimate and vulnerable experience, as it requires inviting people into one’s home and trusting them with a loved one’s care. The respect they show extends not only to their clients but also to their homes, taking great care to avoid damage or disruption to property and furnishings.
As an LGBTQ+ household, we are never entirely certain how those outside our circle will engage with us, particularly in today’s climate of division. When wheelchair transportation is a necessity, there is often little choice but to make the call and hope for the best. I am happy to report that Hadaway Transport has been the very best. They have always been more than professional—they have been personable, engaging, friendly, considerate, and consistently respectful of both the client and me as the caregiver.
From our very first interaction with Hadaway Transport, I immediately knew they were people I could trust in my home and in our lives. In addition to the outstanding transportation services they provide, I know they actively participate in numerous volunteer activities throughout the communities they serve, reflecting their commitment to giving back beyond their business.
I recognize that non-emergency medical transportation may seem like a niche industry to honor, but it fills an increasingly vital role as our population continues to age and the need for accessible transportation grows. Hadaway Transport exemplifies excellence through the quality of its service, the dignity with which it treats every client, and the genuine kindness and support it extends to families.
