A gentle reminder as the summer travel season kicks off… travel goes a whole lot smoother when we all practice a little awareness and consideration. If you don’t fly often, or even if you do and just need a reset, here are some simple reminders to keep in mind:

1. Overhead bin space is for *your seat area*. Not the row 12 seats when you’re sitting in row 27. Everyone deserves space for their bag.
2. The seat in front of you is not a handrail. The person sitting there is not your stability system. Use the armrests and save everyone the surprise jolt.
3. Reclining seats are part of air travel. If that bothers you, please take it up with the airlines who designs these plans and not a fellow passenger. That said, a little courtesy during meal service by sitting up goes a long way.
4. Tray tables up, seats upright for taxi, takeoff, and landing. This one is universal.
5. The drink options are in front of you in the seat pocket or digital display. Glance, decide, and be ready so service can move smoothly for everyone.
6. When it’s time to deplane, stand up when 3 rows in front of you is moving into the aisle. Be packed and ready so you can go when it's time.
7. Planes are designed to exit by row for a reason. The “I’m just squeezing ahead” strategy doesn’t actually make it faster for anyone. Plus, it's super annoying.
8. Be aware of your space. Bags, backpacks, and personal items have a tendency to swing. A quick “sorry” goes a long way when they do. And yes ~ everyone deserves a little personal bubble in tight spaces.
9. In airport walkways, keep it moving or step aside. For the love of God, don't stop and suddenly become statue like. Same goes for checking monitors ~ quick check, then clear the view so others can see too.
10. Moving walkways have an unspoken agreement: stand right, walk left. It really does help everything flow better.
11. At baggage claim, no need to crowd the carousel like you might miss an opportunity. Give people space to grab their bags without the shoulder-to-shoulder shuffle.

Travel is already a shared experience in close quarters. A little awareness makes it better for everyone ~ and honestly, it makes your own trip feel calmer too.

Hot take: I don't work with every resort. 🌶️
And when it's your wedding? That matters more than you know.
Some properties have a stunning name and a website to match ~ but the experience doesn't hold up when your 40+ guests actually arrive. Some resorts pack in spring breakers right alongside wedding groups. Some are overdue for a refresh that's never coming. And some would rather you book direct and cut out the one person who's actually in your corner.
I see all of it. And I'm not going to send you there.
Your wedding deserves more than a pretty Instagram grid. It deserves a venue and a wedding department that can actually deliver ~ for you, for your guests, for the day itself. My job is to know the difference, and to be honest with you even when a property is tempting on paper.
I'd rather lose your business than have you standing at the altar wishing you'd listened.
That's the kind of advisor I am. 🤍

May 18th 1980: I was a wee child, spending the weekend at my grandmother’s house in Everett WA. I remember the moment the mountain blew, but not understanding what was happening. I remember the ash was everywhere and I was so worried for my older brothers who lived in Oregon and were much closer to the mountain. Sure, the PNW is beautiful but we all know who is in change 😂.
Do you remember the eruption of Mt St Helens? Tell me about your experience in the comments!

Hot take 🔥if Cinco de Mayo is the only time you think about Mexico, we should chat.

Because today?
It’s not Independence Day.
And in Mexico, it’s not even a major holiday.

But here in the U.S.?
We turned it into tacos, tequila, and a theme.

And listen~ I love a good celebration. Truly.
But Mexico is not a theme. It’s an experience.

It’s culture, history, food that will humble you, and places that deserve more than a party-day spotlight.

So celebrate today. Have fun. Order the marg.

Then book the trip ✈️🇲🇽

I’ll make sure you experience the real Mexico.

Beautifully curated. Thoughtfully planned. Entirely you

Dreams Vista Cancun is one of my favorite resorts for destination weddings ~ and once you see why, you'll get it.
30 minutes from the airport. Stunning venues. Wedding packages starting at $4,100 that includes 3 events for 20 guests. Club level accommodations under $200/person/night. And golf and a spa to keep everyone happy between events.
This is the kind of resort that makes saying "let's do a destination wedding" feel easy.
Ready to start planning yours? Get on my calendar and let's see if Vista is the perfect fit!
