Safety isn't about ticking boxes — it starts with seeing what others might miss before it becomes 𝗦𝗧𝗖𝗞𝗬 (𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘧𝘧 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘒𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘠𝘰𝘶).
This week, Gulf of America is proud to participate in 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 - an industry-wide movement built on a simple but powerful idea: 𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘐𝘯 𝘛𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳.
We don't build structures. We support the teams that do. As a logistics partner to the construction industry, our people are on and around active job sites every day. That means the same hazards, the same risks, and the same shared responsibility to bring everyone home safe.
This year's three pillars say it all:
🔍 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲 the hazard before it becomes an incident
⚠️ 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱 with the right controls, not just the closest ones
🤝 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 every high-energy risk and every person working near it
Our team uses a common framework to identify hazardous sources on site: falling objects, live electricity, moving equipment, before work begins. When everyone speaks the same safety language, we don't just look at the job. We look out for each other.
"The team brought strong input to the discussions, and working through hazard scenarios together reinforced our awareness and focus on the risks we manage every day." - Ed Griffin, Senior Director of Projects & Logistics
Because when we all use the same words to describe a risk, we close the gaps that get people hurt. That's what being 𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘐𝘯 𝘛𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 really means.
Follow along this week as we share how Gulf of America Logistics is putting 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲, 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱, and 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 into action. Not not just this week, but every single day.
