All buttoned up and ready for the next chapter with a new owner. Repowered with a 60hp Yamaha with only 10 hours on it, totally new wiring and most of the varnish brought down to wood, and brand new cushions. Also comes with the trailer, and a new Sunbrella full-coverage mooring cover not pictured.

So much closer! Today it's one final coat of varnish on the interior and reinstalling some of the sole and the bits and bobs. Next week is the installation of the new wiring and electronics (including a USB charging port). Can't do too much tomorrow; I'm driving a launch in the afternoon.

Though I have to say I'm tired of sweating so much in this high humidity. Maybe it's time to buy a fan for the shop.

I think I lost 5 lbs of water weight while working in the shop today. But! Final coat of varnish done on the interior, transom, and deck of Starlight Express.

Monday will see the final varnish on the hull, topside.

Then it's new paint in the bilge, a new coat of bottom paint, a new boot stripe, install new wiring, breakers and switches, and reassemble the furniture. Should have it all buttoned up in two weeks.

After that she'll be looking for a new owner.

If you know anyone who wants a darling 19' runabout / picnic boat, with a new Yamaha 60 outboard (10 hours), please connect them with me!

Chocks I added on to the bow of a vintage Starcraft 16 to aid the owner in the anchoring while fishing. White oak blocking added under the chocks, through bolted and bedded with BoatLife.
