This was our haul-out of the PROVINCETOWN IV yesterday for a routine prop change, at our friends’ and colleagues’ floating drydock at Boston Harbor Shipyard.

We were told we broke a record with the 90 minute prop swap, with the other 90 minutes spent pumping and flooding the drydock itself.

We’ll break that record next time as this was our first go in this drydock.

What a cool morning for Bay State Cruises, and a real honor:

In preparation for today's Parade of Sail, the US Coast Guard asked us to be the ones to bring dignitaries out to the national treasure, USCGC EAGLE, at anchor several miles outside Boston Harbor.

This was in preparation of the EAGLE then leading the Parade of Sail into Boston today.

Pictured here is our vessel COMMONWEALTH, going alongside the EAGLE to disembark the dignitaries in Broad Sound.

After last night's storm blew through, Capt Alyssa and First Mate Bridget grabbed these shots. Be it from Boston's Inner Harbor or from nine miles off shore, rainbows and being on the water is always a special combination.

While it is said that you can’t judge a book by its cover, it’s also held that one CAN judge the overall health of a vessel by looking at its engine room.

Here’s one of ours after a great Winter’s work, aboard the PROVINCETOWN II, our oldest vessel.
