eGo started in Boulder in 1997(!) as “The Little Red Car Co-op”. The momentum continued forward, and in 1998, Boulder CarShare (BCS) was founded. Boulder CarShare then rebranded in January 2009 as eGo CarShare in order to bring its service to the city of Denver

We're Colorado's only local 501(c)(3) nonprofit carsharing organization serving the Denver-Boulder metro area. Our mission is to provide and promote alternatives to individual car ownership, thereby reducing the environmental and social impacts associated with motor vehicle use.
