Holland America Line just announced “Holland America Evolution” the largest fleet update in its 153-year history!

Here’s what HAL fans will love:
✨ Six ships getting refreshed (including Oosterdam, Westerdam, Nieuw Amsterdam)
✨ New staterooms, including Solo Verandahs with private balconies (see below)
✨ The beloved Grand Dutch Café expanding to more ships
✨ New suites with incredible panoramic ocean views
The first ship to debut these updates will be Oosterdam in fall 2027, with more ships to follow.

Even better? Holland America says they’re keeping the classic, mid-sized ship feel we all love…. just with more options and updated spaces.

On Star Princess they have an area called the Sanctuary. It is for people who book suite cabins and also some balconies and mini suites categories. It includes your own restaurant and pool area. VERY NICE!

My pictures of the Star Princess. I have not been on Princess since 2009 and I have to say I was impressed. The food was very good and so was the service. I came on here to learn about the medallion system which I find to be pretty cool. I now can highly recommend Princess!with confidence!
