N248BZ - Airbus A220-300 (BD-500-1A11) - Breeze Airways - KMSY - 6-14-2026

A simple shot for the soul. I've been trying to get a good shot of a Breeze Airways A220 but lighting and clouds have always caused issues. Thankfully this day it turned out perfect and thanks to the morning light and the right angle, I finally snagged the photo I was going for!

N7734H - Boeing 737-7BD(WL) - Southwest Airlines - KMSY - 6-14-2026

Rocketing out to Orlando is nothing new for this former AirTran ship. Delivered new to the former heavyweight in the low-cost airline scene as N300AT in October of 2006, it now flies with Southwest as seen here. Just a simple shot of a workhorse type in the Southwest Airlines fleet!

N629SW - Boeing 737-3H4(WL) - Eastern Air Express - KMSY - 6-14-2026

Upon first glance this just appears to be just your average 737 Classic flying charter. Don't let its appearance fool you as where it's not painted in Eastern Air Express, this was once the original Southwest Airlines "Silver One"!

Delivered to the airline in June of 1996 it once wore a bare metal, later a silver paint in place of the metal, scheme for the airline's 25th anniversary. It flew with this scheme until around the late-2000s when it was then painted into the airline's "Canyon Blue" livery with a sticker "Silver One" on the nose, similarly to how the current one is.

I missed the chance to snap some photos of this aircraft in the past, so I'm happy to finally have had the chance to get it even though it's long since retired from its original operator and wonderful silver scheme.

N582UW - Airbus A321-231 - American Airlines - KMSY - 6-14-2026

A dream shot come true. I've been tracking the American Airlines heritage fleet for a while hoping to get a chance to specifically capture one of the A321 heritage tails, and finally after much patience one was scheduled to MSY... at 12AM. However, the departure was listed as 7AM! So after a short drive there in the early morning and an even shorter wait finally it departed just as the clouds moved away from the sun, giving me great lighting and the shot I was hoping to get!

N771KW - Boeing 777-212ER - Eastern Airlines LLC - KMSY - 6-7-2026

I have been hunting one of these for quite some time! I've seen many 777s, however I have always wanted to capture one of Eastern's! Thankfully after a tip that one was going to be at MSY that finally happened, however I wish the lighting was a little better.

This one was delivered new to Singapore Airlines as 9V-SQI in March of 2002. Other operators include flyGlobal as 9M-FGA, as well as Garuda Indonesia on lease from Eastern.

N362NW - Airbus A320-212 - Delta Air Lines - KMSY - 6-6-2026

Shortly after arriving as a diversion from HOU due to reported engine vibrations on what I assume is the #2 engine. I witnessed this aircraft the next day doing some engine testing on the apron just off camera to the left and the next day it was on its way to MSP! Easily recognizable by the "NW" in the registration you can tell this is a former NWA aircraft similar to the 757 I posted previously. This one was delivered new to NWA in November of 1998 where it flew until the merger with Delta.

Of note is the A319 behind it, similarly aged with a delivery to United in April of 2000!

N544US - Boeing 757-251(WL) - Delta Air Lines - KMSY - 6-7-2026

It's no secret that I am a die hard fan of the Boeing 757, so when I saw one was scheduled to arrive late in this day I just had to get it. I wasn't expecting the ramp to be so busy which allowed me to get this great turning angle of it as it made its way to its gate at the Delta terminal!

Delivered new to Northwest Airlines in 1996. As the years go on it's becoming less and less common to see these Former NWA 752s flying regular Passenger service. This one was a very nice, clean example!

N30401 - Boeing 737-924(WL) - United Airlines - KMSY - 6-6-2026

Another 737 to share, this time the oldest currently active 739! This wasn't expected as I originally was going to spot American's TWA Hertiage tail earlier in the morning. Although those shots didn't turn out like I wanted, I'm happy that these did! This one is also noteworthy as being the 5th one built, as shown on the production list.

Delivered new to Continental in May of 2001, making it 25 years old at the time of this photo!

N35407 - Boeing 737-924(WL) - United Airlines - KMSY - 6-1-2026

I am probably one of the few people who genuinely get excited by things like this. With Alaska having retired theirs, United is the sole 737-900 operator in the US. With how few of the type were made before the -900ER became the main variant of the -900 model, it was already a very rare airplane. This one in particular was delivered new to Continental in September of 2001 and currently sits at 24 years old at the time of this shot!

United currently has 12 of these in their fleet, and I was lucky enough to capture two of them this day!

N251AK - Boeing 737-990ER(WL) - Alaska Airlines - KMSY - 6-1-2026

Departing in the early morning light for Seattle. It has been some time since I've spotted an Alaska Airlines aircraft, and this is the first time with my new lens! Delivered in 2016 to the airline, making it 10 years old this month!
