Branson Scenic Railway Excursions through the Ozark foothills aboard vintage equipment. Approximately 2 hour ride through the foothills of the Ozarks.

Enjoy a live narration of the area through which the train travels. A history of the area as well as the building of the White River Railway and a description of each piece of equipment are given. Meet No. 9120.

This locomotive started life as an Illinois Central EMD GP9 in 1955 and was rebuilt by the railroad's Paducah Shops as a GP10 in 1973. Today, it's part of the Branson Scenic Railway fleet, sporting Milwaukee Road colors as it handles switching duties around the depot and occasional road service to keep our historic passenger trains rolling.

While the 98, 3460, and 3133 may steal the spotlight, locomotives like the 9120 are an important part of the railroad's daily operations.

There are plenty of ways to see the Ozarks! This just happens to be our favorite. 🚂

Climb aboard and spend an hour and 45 minutes traveling the historic White River Route, crossing trestles, passing through tunnels, and seeing parts of the Ozarks that can't be reached by car.
