COVID-19 – With the constant changing of information, and the many recent local positive tests, we are not allowing anyone into our marina. If necessary, we will be suspending our operations. Our main concern is the safety of our employees and their families, and our customers.

We are committed to the health and safety of our customers, suppliers, and employees. Per U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, we are closely monitoring the situation, and how it may affect our business and our customers.

Our commitment to our customers, is to work in a safe and healthy environment and be able to have everyone out on the water enjoying the upcoming boating season. We will be committed to work hard to remain on schedule as close as possible.

Floats and Boats 2019

Floats and Boats is an annual float party which is held at Tices Shoal located in Barnegat Bay near Island Beach State Park in Lacey Township, Ocean County. The two-day event begins this Saturday, July 27 and ends Sunday, July 28. To ensure that everyone enjoys a fun and safe experience. The New Jersey State Police Special Operations Section will be working with local, county and federal partners on a command post set up in the water.

The State Police Marine Services Bureau would like to remind everyone to take proper precautions when operating vessels on the waterways.


All vessel operators are responsible for their wake up to 200 feet in all directions. The wake is the trail of disturbed water left behind by a passing vessel.

Vessels must be equipped with an approved Personal Floatation Device (PFD) for everyone on board.

PFD’s are required for children 12 and under if the vessel is in motion or at anchor.

Personal Water Crafts (PWC’s) are to be operated by persons 16 years of age or older, who possess a valid Boating Safety Certificate (BSC).

PWC operators must maintain idle speeds within 100 feet of shoreline, swimmers, and other vessels.

PWC operation is prohibited between sunset and sunrise, and during poor visibility.

Navigational lights are required on vessels making way between sunset and sunrise. Vessels at anchor are required to display an all-around white anchor light.

Boating While Intoxicated (BWI) is strictly enforced. Operating a vessel under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or allowing another to do so is prohibited.


By following these safety precautions, we can ensure that the waterways will be safer for everyone this weekend and for the remainder of the summer season.
