Our very own Head of Sales and Design, Zack Pali, was one of only 10 individuals to be on the newly formed Dealer Advisory Board at GSI. It has been a tremendous opportunity to work with other dealers and GSI to make the dealer experience greater for all GSI dealers! Zack specifically represents the entire western United States, including western Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and California. He serves as a voice for all of the dealers and the end customers on how to make GSI better!

Recently, Zack spent a few days in Kentucky working with the other board members and with GSI in helping carve a better future for GSI and the Dealers.

Besides storage and material handling, the next best investment for your farm is a dryer. I have had the wonderful opportunity to know Gary for nearly 10 years now. In that 10 year period, I have had several hours of discussions with him. I have read studies that he has produced as well as from other universities and field experts.

The results are in: if you aren't using a dryer at harvest, you are losing a lot of bushels and a lot of money. From header loss, you are losing anywhere between 5 to 15 bushels per acre on average at moisture of 15 to 20 percent. From 25 to 20 you are losing another 3 to 10 bushels per acre. And thar isn't counting phantom loss where test weights drop significantly. Your corn could be 58 to 59 lbs test weight, and instead it typically drops to 52. That's another 6 lb per bushel, or, for every 9 bushels you harvest, you are missing out on an extra 10th bushel. If you average 250 bushels to the acre, you could be getting closer to 275! That is huge!

The great thing about BP Ag Systems is we farm as well. We use a GSI Top Dry to dry our corn down each year. It costs us last year $0.08 per bushel to dry from 27% to 15%!

In other words, our dryer is making us money! One customer last year made an additional $500,000 by doing custom drying and storage. Name me one piece of equipment on your farm today that can give you that kind of money?
