Friends of Lake Darling State Park work to improve outdoor facilities & help people enjoy nature

Naturalist Emma Chenoweth will be presenting a program on Iowa Furbearers at the Lake Darling Campground on Saturday September 5th at 7PM. She will be building a campfire and offering S'mores! The event will be held at the No. 14 campsite just inside the campground entrance. You can use the boat ramp parking lot if you are not camping.

The Lake Darling Boat Rental will be open Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 7pm. You can rent a kayak, standup board, paddle boat or motor boat for a refreshing trip on the lake. You can find the Boat House between the lodge parking lot and the main boat ramp parking lot. Pick up a souvenir hat or T-shirt or cool treat. Friends of Lake Darling want to introduce Lake Darling State Park's Naturalist. Emma Cenoweth will be offering some outdoor themed programs in the Park this Fall. The first will be on September 5th, so mark your calendars.

Looks like it will be a great weekend at Lake Darling. The Friends Boat Rental has paddleboats, standup boards, kayaks and motor boats for rent. You can find us between the Lodge and the Main Boat Ramp parking lot. We also have T-shirts, bag boards and cool refreshments. Download a trails map at https://www.friendsoflakedarling.org/ #/. The Friends Boat Rental will be open with weather permitting this weekend. We have kayaks, standup boards, paddleboats and motor boats. And if you need a bag board set we have that too!
