8 eggs made it to lockdown no water in the incubator. Today was thundering and humidity is close to 50% without water. Hatching should be on the 4th fingers crossed. If they follow my other hatches they will be a day early.

Tomato, eggplant, peppers, broccoli, squash pumpkin and cucumber plants in the ground plus some herb seeds just need to get my carrots and greens and the garden is set for summer. What are you growing?

Landscape w**d barrier down. Need another role for the last bit or maybe that's where I will put my squash and pumpkin plants. Not sure if I like the brand I got so may try something else for the rest. My goal is to put barrier around the outside as well and put down fencing against the chickens and sheep. 6.5 feet tall and then I can mow or use the DR around the edge to take down the nettles. My nettle use is less than the amount growing. Would anyone purchase dried nettle for nettle tea? I keep some myself and will dry a bunch to feed back to the sheep and poultry. Thoughts and ideas on the design? Would love to see your garden space even if it's containers on the porch. Let's grow together.

Let's talk broodies. I love my growly fat super amazing broody mamas. They consistently hatch out three or four batches of babies season saving me on electric to run another heat light and on chick protection because, lets face it broodies are downright scary when fighting for their babies. They will flap and claw and peck and if you manage to get your hands on them they release the broody p**p which is a special kind of evil no one ever wants to experience.

I checked on the chicks tonight finding a fifth chick and realizing the duck that was sitting was sitting on an empty nest while being broody. I decided to move her back into the other coop that has 6 total nests started who need bodies to sit on them. When she realized that biting clawing and flapping weren't getting her anything she pooed completely down my right side.

I finished moving her showered with my clothes on then took them off and showered again with much soap and water borderline scalding and then sanitized the bathroom and washed my clothes. Even with all that I am still smelling her special kind of love all over. It's like skunk in broody form. Well played Mama well played.
