A beautiful day at the 2019 Mystic Wooden Boat Show. Not much wind which has the advantage we can have the Sail Zo's sail up without decapitating visitors.

A GO-ZO goes to the Islands.
After all the time exhibiting ZO-Boats at the Mystic Wooden Boat Show, including assembling the demo GO-ZO, Michelle decided it was time for her to build her own kit. It arrived, packaged very well of course. Regatta season in the Caribbean has cut into the time available for starting the kit (along with making space in the shop.....). However, the semester at the University of the VIrgin Islands St. Croix (where she is a professor of biology) ends in about three weeks so more progress should begin soon. Album in photo albums.
She is looking forward to sharing her experience with people at the 2019 Mystic Wooden Boat Show.

Two more GO-ZO's have been successfully completed at the RIMTA (Rhode Island Marine Trades Association) summer boatbuilding program for teenagers. Well done to all the participants. From the photos they did a great job.
Nice article in the Newport Daily News here:

Email received from Brian Dursi, the Director of Programs at RIMTA:

Yesterday was the launching ceremony for the Newport Youth Summer Boatbuilding programs.
The 2 prams came out great and the Newport Daily News was there to cover the ceremony.
2 of the students wrote essays and are the new owners of the boats.
Thanks again for providing the kits, plans and jigs. Kevin McKiernan was the instructor-he is currently the high school marine tech teacher in North Providence, former IYRS Marine Systems instructor and used to work for East Passage Boat Wrights. He really appreciated the simplicity of the kits but also how they had plenty of teaching capacity in the building process.
Have great weekend.

Regards,
Brian Dursi

A bit gray today but still quite a few people at the 2018 Mystic Wooden Boat Show. Pictures taken during a lull.

Less than a month until the 2018 Mystic Wooden Boat Show. ZO-Boats will be exhibiting. We will be in the same location as last year, at the North end along the waterfront next to the new Wave building. The plot number is 311 Land C. Please stop by and visit, check out the kits, place an order.....
Show hours are 0900 to 1700 each day.

We are glad to note that once again the RIMTA Summer Youth Boatbuilding and Work Readiness Program decided to choose a ZO Boats kit model for their 6 week program. They just recently purchased two GO ZO kits for the students to build.

Hard to believe it is already 2/3 of the way through January. Our new website is still under construction so please continue to view our offerings here through Facebook. The design side of Zo Boats survived Hurricane Maria here on St. Croix although things are still a, shall we say, new normal. Fortunately, the CNC router that cuts the kits is in Rhode Island raring to go. Now is an excellent time to give us a call or email to order a kit for a winter project. Plenty of time to have your new boat finished for a Spring launching. Give Dave a call or email at 340 227 1220 david@walworthdesigns .com or Bill at 401 254 6911; bill .com.
