Rizzo Excavation and Trucking was founded by James Rizzo, Sr. It started out as
a one man operation that was run out of Jim's home with a borrowed dump truck and a
backhoe. Within a few years Jim's excavation business grew allowing him to purchase
more equipment and hire employees. He eventually began hauling for the local farmers
during grape harvest and later began hauling for other businesses y
ear-round. Now Jim's
son, James Rizzo, Jr., is part of the business, working alongside his father. still plays an huge role in the company, Jim Jr. is currently running the day to day
operations which allows his father to enjoy his winters in Florida. Today we operate out of an 80,000 square foot warehouse, which includes our offices,
shop and warehousing. We currently employ a professional staff focused on our clients
needs and commitment to the highest levels of service. We provide many excavation services such as water and gas line installation and repair,
land clearing, ponds, drainage, concrete, foundations, septic systems, driveway
installation and repairs and trenching, to name a few. We have a variety of modern
equipment to meet your excavation needs. Rizzo Excavation and Trucking provides a wide variety of trucking services, including
local and long hauls. We have many semis and numerous trailers (food grade tankers,
vans and flats). We provide hauling for farmers, wineries, manufacturing plants and
several other businesses. Rizzo Excavation and Trucking is a family business that just celebrated it's 40th
Anniversary and is still growing.
