We wanted to let our customers know that the office might be closed this week on and off (November 4th-8th). I will be out due to a surgery and the crew is out on the job site! Please give us a call with any questions, scheduling or packing / moving needs!

Dennis & Marilyn Gerjets built the NEW Perkins Storage & Transfer building at 3714 Main Ave S in Brookings.
It was always dad’s dream to have a new warehouse, truck shop and office! They both worked hard at it over the past 1 1/2 years give or take and sadly our mom, Marilyn didn’t get to see us all moved in. She unexpectedly passed away in June before we moved out to the new location.
Their good friends, George & Ruby Holborn/family and Anna Baumiller and family donated to have a flag 🇺🇸 installed in her memory and in honor of our dad, Dennis. What a great way to honor our parents and remember our mom! Thankfully with the help of Nick Gerjets, Dan Gerjets, Andy Dupraz, Chuck Dupraz, Evan Metzger helping with paint, and the moving crew (AJ, Aaron, John & Jordan) helping with prep work, we were able to complete the task.
Thank you to everyone for the help and the donation in mom’s memory and dad’s honor! The flag pole is up!

Update: Thank you to everyone who reached out and also to those who nominated other people! We feel blessed that we could help out several people in the Brookings community and surrounding area! We have given all the cards away and hope they help! Merry Christmas!

Perkins Storage & Transfer would like to thank everyone in the community and surrounding area for supporting us!

This year we would like to provide a limited amount of gift cards to the Brookings community and surrounding areas to Walmart for families or individuals that are struggling. We went with Walmart because you buy groceries, toiletries, supplies, clothes or if you need a little help to get the kids something for Christmas!

Please contact us in messenger if you know someone or are someone that could use a little extra help right now. Please provide us with a brief description of how you could use help and the town/county you live in. We will be keeping names who receive gift cards anonymous.

We had the pleasure of moving another repeat customer at the beginning of the month! She shared the picture of the first move! Enjoy your new place! Last time they moved it was (from left to right) Evan, Royce, Kyle & Nick. This time is was AJ, Brandon, Aaron & Jordan along with homeowners 😉

So glad we could assist the SDSU Marching Band again! I forgot to get a picture Friday morning of Nick, AJ & Landon heading out. The Pride of the Dakotas Marching Band, thank you for trusting us again!

It takes a lot of helpers to make these types of events happen to support our South Dakota State Football
