My sister gave a pair of rather nice used wooden folding chairs a good while ago. They have become well weathered and rather rickety. I reglued them a few times but they still worked apart. For a long while they were held together with a bar clamp.

I disassembled them. sanded them and they now have one of what will be three coats of varnish before they are put back together again. The will reinforced with a few extra bits when complete.

"Perfectly good" way to ruin a bandsaw blade. I should have just taken the screw out. But I was trimming to turn any way and the screw hole left over made that portion unsuitable so I tried to cut off just where I guess where the end of the screw was.

Well. I guessed wrong and ruined a new saw blade.

Note the before and after side.

(n the last leg and final leg.. Sanding through many progressively finer grits of sandpaper with the random orbital sander. Ultimately finishing with the polish on the tube.

The epoxy loads up the paper on a hurry. It's one paper per fan. I'm up to only 220 grit. I have a long ways to go. One paper per fan, four per grit. I will not use up the mountains of paper but will use up much.

All but finished. The clear epoxy "fans" need to be sanded and polished.

The four "fans" for the windmill project. Poured and removed from form. Note the grass seed heads from the client's family farm.

A little bit of clean up and sanding/polishing and they will be ready for mounting on the clock.

24 hrs more of cure time before sanding and polishing.

Made "substantial completion" with this clock. It was commissioned as a wedding gift. The clock movement is to be hidden inside the sphere. (That is why a face is sheared of to accommodate the clock hands.

The last major step is to cast the four 'fans' in clear epoxy resin with bits of grass cast into it.
